Nutrient Profiling

OMEX offers a nutrient profiling service to all potential and existing customers. This allows OMEX to assess plant nutrient status and advise any corrective nutrient supplementation, both amount and type. It is also used as a maintenance check on the health of the overall system to ensure optimum performance at all times.

Nutrient profiling involves the analysis of nitrogen, phosphorus and essential trace element analysis, chemical oxygen demand (COD), total solids and suspended solids as well as the microbiological assessment of activated sludge. The resulting profile and report can provide useful data for the customer.

For example, the identification of certain indicator microorganisms, such as filamentous bacteria, can signal potential problems (in this example suspended solids and filamentous bulking) which can be treated before they affect performance.
