October 13th is global fertiliser day! A day to celebrate one of the most important inventions of our time, a resource that continues to feed the world – fertiliser.
This day in history marks the date of Fritz Haber’s discovery of ammonia synthesis in 1908 which would go on to pave the way for fertilisers as we know them today. The discovery of fertiliser and it’s modern advances has allowed the world to grow and develop, accounting for half of the world’s food production.
