OMEX Horticulture has appointed Joe Barfoot as technical sales manager with nutritional responsibilities for protected edibles, ornamentals, flowers, vines, and soft/top fruit.
Joe joins OMEX from Hortifeeds where he was area sales manager for four years and prior to that he was responsible for agricultural foliar sales at Downham Market-based Soil Fertility Services.
With an agricultural BSc degree earned from Reading University and FACTS qualified, plus nine years experience in agricultural sales and distribution and four years in horticulture, Joe brings a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge to OMEX Horticulture’s expanding team.
“Horticulture is a growing industry in which there are an enormous number of opportunities,” explains Joe. “OMEX Horticulture is positioned at a much higher technical level than I have experienced before. The technical investment includes having Horticulture FACTS and BASIS qualification as standard. I look forward to maintaining relationships with existing customers and to building market share in all aspects of horticulture, particularly in top fruit, cut flowers and protected edible crops.”
