The farming sector reported that last year’s corn silage yields varied hugely in quality.

This was due to a large number of farmers missing the optimum harvesting time due to poor weather conditions (including a dry and hot late summer).

The use of this silage can cause issues in the biogas production process such as increased levels of viscosity.
