The Power Of Horticultural Biostimulants
OMEX multi nutrient foliar feeds – Grow with Bio 18, Bio 20 and Kelpak, Horticultural Biostimulants.
The Power Of Horticultural Biostimulants
Bio 18 & Bio 20 are multi nutrient foliar feeds which pack a mighty punch. Not only does each product contain more than 58% nutrition, but they are combined with 28% Kelpak, an Ecklonia maxima kelp extract rich in polyamines and phlorotannins.
The accompanying chart highlights the comprehensive range of macro and micro nutrients our powerful horticultural biostimulants range packs.

Latest research has shown that Bio 20 can modulate gene expression and induce metabolic change due to the presence of the biomolecules in Kelpak. The enhanced nutrient requirement of the plant caused by the biostimulant response, is met by the nutrients supplied within either Bio 18 or Bio 20.

Get In TouchRegistered Biostimulant – Kelpak
Eckol and phloroglucinol are biomolecules called phlorotannins which are present in Ecklonia maxima and have been shown to stimulate shoot and root elongation and improve starch metabolism1. Kelpak is particularly rich both in these extracts and polyamines compared to other seaweed extracts (see figure 3) and this helps to improve the plant’s growth response. Consequently, the EU has accredited Kelpak the CE mark due to its proven status as a biostimulant.

Kelpak is a CE certified biostimulant with a track record of peer reviewed scientific research. This combined with OMEX’s own unique formulation of macro nutrients and chelated micro nutrients, means that when comparing the nutrient status of Bio 20 to alternative seaweed nutritional products, Bio 20 is up to 14 times richer in plant available nutrients. Therefore, it beats other products hands down in both plant response and nutritional content.
KelpakA Biostimulant Boost
The application rate for both Bio 18 and Bio 20 is 2-3L/ha and applications should be considered when the crop is experiencing general deficiency symptoms or if the crop requires a boost during the vegetative phase to improve vigour. After treatment you can expect to see greener foliage which will optimise the crop’s performance. Please click here to visit the Fortiflo pages of the OMEX website for further information.
